Over the past six years, the Naffiexquisite Empowerment Initiative has driven measurable growth for ecosystem leaders across Africa by equipping over 300 entrepreneurs in more than 10 Nigerian states through an intensive mini-MBA program.
This tailored approach, paired with over 8 million Naira disbursed in direct grants, has catalyzed micro-business expansion, enabled small businesses to scale monthly baseline revenues from 150,000 to over 1.5 million Naira, and fostered sustainable job creation as alumni expand from solo ventures to full-time local employers.
Beyond business growth, the program's strategic career mentorship has propelled alumni into international development roles, doubled entry-level salaries, and secured promotions to managerial positions across seven African countries. Beneficiaries have earned selection for prestigious regional fellowships, led impactful projects in journalism and healthcare, and built a collective reach exceeding 1 million impressions online, demonstrating a sustained ripple effect on leadership, employment, and community impact.

We had different sessions with 5 amazing coaches on relevant skills and tools that are needed to start a successful business and also to improve an existing business such as financial management, marketing strategy, emotional intelligence and client's relationship etc. It was indeed beneficial to me as there was a great improvement in my business both in service provision and management.
Driven by the core principle to start with what you have and show up consistently even when it is difficult, Kokolicious Catering has achieved remarkable operational and financial growth over the past few years. Starting with an average monthly revenue of ₦100,000 in 2023, the business systematically scaled its operations, initially leveraging Facebook ads to reach ₦400,000 in 2024 and ₦500,000 in 2025. By 2026, Kokolicious Catering achieved a massive milestone, generating between ₦800,000 to over ₦1,000,000 in average monthly revenue purely through organic demand, marking an impressive tenfold overall increase in both revenue and social media presence.
This sustained financial growth has allowed Kokolicious Catering to formalize its structure and expand its economic footprint. Now officially registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), the brand has expanded internationally by exporting its signature puff puff mix globally and training over 40 diaspora students through online classes. Beyond business expansion, Kokolicious Catering has become a driver of local employment, creating a steady workplace that supports a permanent full-time assistant alongside a recurring network of up to 20 ad-hoc staff members over the years.

By implementing the structured career plan drafted during the program, I successfully achieved a major career transition, upgrading from a technician cadre into an officer cadre role.
This strategic positioning, combined with the completion of advanced degrees including an MSc, PGDE, and specialized professional certifications, directly catalyzed an increase in my earning capacity with a promotion from CONHESS 08 to CONHESS 09.
Beyond personal career advancement, the skills and intentionality developed through the NEEI career planning process have translated into broader institutional leadership. Today, I actively direct and manage diverse teams executing critical program implementations across all six Area Councils in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). This journey highlights how converting practical learning into deliberate, purpose-driven action can elevate an individual's career trajectory while expanding their capacity to lead impact-driven initiatives at scale
As a beneficiary of the Naffiexquisite Entrepreneurial Empowerment Program (NEEP) 2021, I was at a low point in my business when I heard about the program. It was just about a year when I turned by passion for hair making into a business.
